The “comix-weave” pictures are based on samples and cut-ups from comic books, primarily from the 1940s – 1950s (generally pre-Comics Code Authority). All of these publications have been researched and determined to be copyright free and in the public domain, and posted on-line as such by the Digital Comics Museum <https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/>

Artist’s credits and publication information were crosschecked through the Grand Comics Database: <https://www.comics.org/>

Scans of selected full comics pages were taken directly from books in my collection. The resized print-outs were cut into horizontal and vertical strips and re-woven together to form new image juxtapositions with the intention allowing a new narrative to arise from other narratives that were otherwise unrelated (see Cut-Ups in this section).
